This year&#8217;s event centered around the theme of &#8220;engaging young talents,&#8221; therefore we have invited high school students to celebrate with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Day of Photonics commenced with a lecture by PhD Micha\u0142 Karpi\u0144ski, who delved into the topic of light transmission through optical fibers. Additionally, we could listen to presentations given by PhD Eng. Tomasz Kardas and PhD \u0141ukasz Zinkiewicz on subjects of constructing ultrafast lasers and Nobel Prize for attosecond lasers. Maciej Nowakowski shared insights into the photonics industry in Poland, while PhD Eng. Kamil Pier\u015bci\u0144ski discussed devices functioning in the infrared spectrum, and Zofia Dziekan explored light-powered micro tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event also featured an engaging quiz with enticing prizes. The grand prize included a tour of the laboratories within the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network.
