To celebrate the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope we organized a board game and pizza party. We chose the date of the JWST reaching the L2 orbit on the 26.01.2022.
Due to COVID situation the event was held both in person and online. The main point of the event was a quiz about the JWST. We had about 20 participants during the event in the quiz, but after we made the question public here: https://forms.gle/TXD9v5k7x55kX5r19
6 best results of the quiz were rewarded with prizes – board games and Lego sets, all space-themed.
After the quiz, we continued the meeting over pizza discussing the hardest questions and the great achievement the JWST is. We finished the night with discussion and playing board games.
There were around 20 people at the pizza place and 11 on Zoom.
We were all very happy with the event and the possibility of meeting in-person to celebrate a great scientific achievement!
